Nicole's Invitation to join the FRIENDS OF MIKE OCONE team at the 2008 Cancer
Care's Walk for Hope on September 28:
Family and Friends,
As many of you know Sept. is a tough month for the Ocone
Family. The second is Michael's birthday and on the 23rd Michael and
I would have celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. Last year, some
of our dear friends approached me about forming a team and walking
together at Cancer Care's Walk for Hope which is held the end of the
month. I thought it was a great idea and so the team of "Friends of
Mike Ocone" was formed. Over 25 of us came out to support the event.
You can see pictures from last year's walk on Mike's Web site. We
walked, laughed, cried and raised money. Best of all it was a
wonderful way to remember and honor Michael. It was such a positive
experience that we decided to make it an annual tradition, which is
why I am writing you today. I am inviting all of you to join "Team
Ocone." We are looking for new team members ( hey you get a tee
shirt) so that on Sunday, Sept. 28th at 9:00 am on the Spring Lake
Boardwalk we will have the most team members present. If you cannot
join us the day of the walk you can make a donation to Team Ocone. I
know so many of you have done so much for us already, but if there
is anyway you could support this event, it would be greatly

Cancer Care is a wonderful organization that helps people diagnosed with Cancer
as well as their families by offering a variety of free services.
